School's starting soon =(

Then again, it's really really really my final year in school, in CF, in the badminton team, in SCHOOL.

After form 5, I remember being really reluctant about entering form 6. The thought of being in a school environment for another year and a half was exhausting, and I felt more than ready to move on.

However, after my experience in IPDA, form 6 seemed heavenly. Okay, not heavenly, but it did seem a way better choice as compared to a maktab perguruan. Besides, I get another shot at serving in my school's CF, that was something I thought I'd miss. After going to IPDA, I realised that Taman SEA's CF can only be found in.. well, Taman SEA. In IPDA there was discussion about setting up prayer meetings and Bible studies, but never worked out. I don't know why, too many restrictions and lack of commitment, maybe? There were maybe 14, 15 Christians out of 2000 students.. anyway that's a story for another day. *Back to form 6 story*

Of course, entering form 6 meant abiding by my school's ever-so-logical rules.

I mean, what harm could eating in class bring? I completely forgot about this rule until I started eating in class one day, and my classmate warned me, "Look out for teachers if you're gonna eat." Me, "Huh?? Cannot eat in class one meh??" And I got these really incredulous YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T KNOW???! faces from classmates. Can't believe I used to receive 'Prefect of the month' status before, eh? I mean, how can I NOT KNOW THAT STUDENTS CANNOT EAT IN CLASS???

No mineral bottles. I nearly forgot this rule too, then I saw a classmate drinking from one. And I stupidly asked, "Eh, now school allow mineral bottles hor?" Again, I received this really pained look from classmates. *oops, wrong question*

Last day of school class wanted to have a party. Head prefect 'terheard' about it, and told me that we weren't allowed to have parties. Again, the question of 'WHY???' popped in my head. Of course, we went ahead with the party, despite some of the teachers banning us from having the party, and finally agreed that we could have it, but it couldn't be held in class, had to be in the canteen. Well, we had it in class anyway. =D

After 1 month in form 6, I managed to relearn most of our school's petty rules again. Only in SMKTS can you get rules like these:

Hair is on the list of prohibited items. Not to mention socks, shoes, belts.

Yes, walk into our school and you'll see ever-law-abiding bald students walking around barefooted. =) Hey, it saves money on shampoo and washing and shoe-'whiteners'!

And yes, for eating outside the canteen I'm officially a 'prohibited' student. So much for freedom of education in Malaysia.

Cigarettes is on the list. But not drugs. =) So it's safe to assume that our students sit in the canteen high on drugs everyday. Okay, bad bad. Scrap that idea.

I was dumbfounded when I saw 'Cards'. I want to give my friend birthday card cannot isit now?? Then I realised that they must have meant playing cards. I'm a bad girl for playing Uno in class in lower 6. =(

SMKTS, anyone? I promise you it'll be an experience you'll never forget! =)
