800m!

Hey,

Yesterday I ran the 800m. Guess how I did?

I got 3rd place! =) Mind you, 3rd out of 7(3 didn't come, otherwise 10), not 3rd out of 3. =D

I really thank God. Initially I was worried that I wouldn't even be able to finish the race. At the last 50m stretch Su Faye tried to overtake me, I looked back and noticed her running harder than ever to catch up. Man, at that moment I gave it my all, pushed my legs to go eventhough I felt like collapsing. She didn't manage to overtake me, she was so frustrated after that. Lol!

God truly granted me the strength and endurance for that race. Come on man, I'm a badminton player, not a runner!

Running that race was kinda alike to running the race to God. Let me tell you why.

The running track on my school field is 200m per round. So for 800m, 4 rounds.

800m: 1. After the 1st round, you feel confident, you're not tired yet.
2. After the 2nd round, exhaustion begins to creep in. You feel like giving up, and some people do give up.
3. 3rd round. I thought it was the last round, someone in the crowd yelled that out. So I went faster, was 2nd. Than I noticed the runner ahead of me going yet ANOTHER round. Lol. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise afterall, I might not have been able to catch up with the other runners in the 4th round.
4. Final round. A girl overtook me, putting me in the 3rd place. The last 50m stretch, I was exhausted! But I saw the end.. and gave it my all.
Race to God: 1. At first, you're zealous for God. You pray, read your Bible, spread the word everyday.
2. 2nd round. Some people get choked by the thorns of life. Some get stumbled. Some find God too much of a burden. They give up running the race.
3. You're exhausted. How long more will this race last you wonder. You think the end is near. Only to find there's a long way more to go. Still, you prevail. And pray to God to keep you running and running.
4. With God, no one knows when the end is near, unlike the human race. When you feel like you cannot go on anymore, you pray for strength and endurance. You continue spreading His word. People scorn at you for trying so hard, yet getting no where.

Sorry if I didn't type it out that clearly. It's a bit hard to understand.

Anyway, tomorrow 3rd camp-prefect camp. Will update on how it goes.

God bless
