:-O

Gah. I've never actually felt embarrassed/ashamed to be a Malaysian before.

Till last week.

:-|

Particularly because I've never been AWAY from Malaysia when our beloved government messes up big and makes stupid statements. So when it happens, being among fellow Malaysians, we just laugh it off and move on.

Buuut goodness I'm now in Singapore! And last week, a Singaporean showed me our MOE's latest faux pas.

Ok la, you probably know it by now. The guidelines on identifying the LGBT community and how parents should identify and 'arrest the problem' before it's too late.

My initial reaction was, "Gosh, that encompasses the majority of Singaporean men."

...

Not to mention that these guidelines have just managed to prove that we are regressing in a progressing world.

My Singaporean friends now look at me with pity and I squirm with embarrassment whenever they bring it up.

Now really, living in Malaysia ain't that bad. I love Malaysia quite a fair bit, and am excited in telling my friends places to visit in Malaysia.

*Waiting for the issue to cool down*

Really, it ain't that bad to live in Malaysia. :-)

Haha "all of us"? I beg to differ, despite all of Singapore's goodness I still feel much happier in my own beloved Malaysia. :-)
