About 2 years.. (or more) ago, I decided I was fed-up with earrings because they irritated me too much when I slept. And I was too lazy to take them off before I slept. So I thought I'll stop wearing earrings and see if the holes would close...
My hypothesis: It would close. Our body can heal itself, can't it?? What's a lil' hole? I only pierced them when I was 8.. after all.. hahaha
Others' hypothesis: Impossible. I was given so many examples of people whose earlobe holes never closed despite years of not wearing earrings, especially since I pierced them years ago.
Being the stubborn pig I was/am, I decided to forge ahead with my experiment. Removed my earrings, and never once disturbed those holes since then. Actually, I'd pretty much forgotten the fact that I had once pierced my ears.
Until today, that is. I decided it'd be time to prove my hypothesis. ;-) So... I attempted to stick an earring into the hole... tried.. and tried... changed ear hole.. Dang, my hypothesis was right...!
For a few seconds there I dreaded the idea of allowing a needle to go through me again. Being more cowardly now as compared to my 8 year old days, I probably would have just thrown the whole idea of needles away and lived without earrings for the rest of my life.
Then it went through! Hahaha. So I quickly attempted the other ear hole. Lo and behold! Both sides still had open holes!
Result: Experiment FAIL.
Thankfully, I'm glad it failed. Hahaha. The things I thought of 2 years ago!
3 weeks of sem left. I'm supposed to start on my assignments. I said that many hours ago. :(
Discipline, Jo, discipline! Procrastination is the key to success!
Erm. I mean, procrastination is the road to failure!
LOL.
Have a blessed day!
Jo
