WHAT IF...

Church was held in an outdoor place under the blistering hot sun?

Comfortable, cushiony chairs were taken away and people have to stand to hear God's word?

Sermons preached focus on repenting and turning away from our sinful, secular ways?

We find ourselves constantly berated and jeered at by family, friends, for believing in God?

Believing in our God means being locked up in prison, being ostracized from family & friends?

Following our God means giving up our (worldly) dreams and following His Call?

Loving God means giving up all the nice, comfortable, securities of our lives?

Carrying our crosses causes pain and heartache not just to ourselves, but to our loved ones?

Would you still cling on to Christ?

Would I? I don't mind giving myself up for Christ, but I HATE the feeling of disappointing loved ones. And that is where the real test comes in.

Am I willing to hurt OTHERS for Christ?

Luke 9:23 says,

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Lord, guide me.
