I'd stopped reading papers for a while, simply because I have had no time, rushing everywhere. I fall into bed exhausted each night, only going online for a few mins at a time.
When I do finally start reading the papers again (all the online ones, can't be bothered to buy the real newspapers), lo and behold, what do I read about?
The death of Teoh Beng Hock. (Just google it up if you're going 'huh?!') I suppose most people who join the opposition parties in Malaysia know(somewhere deep in their hearts) that Teoh's death and the questions it entails is not something unexpected, more of a question of 'when'. Considering all the political upheaval that is currently going on, I honestly don't think it'll stop here.
And if any of you saw the pictures, you have to wonder about the condition of Teoh's pants. When I first saw the picture, my only thought was that he fell on something sharp that tore his pants. But no, that would have impaled him, and his body doesn't look impaled. I hate the direction of where this case seems to be going...
One Mkini reader wrote in that such deaths have happened before, but no uproar occured simply because those involved were Indians. Why I'll gladly love to take this reader to task, I won't. Someone died after being treated inhumanely by some power-hungry animals, WHO CARES what race that person is?
People need the Lord, indeed.
