Singles-Lost 2nd round

Sorry ya, yesterday too tired to blog.

Yesterday I won singles 1st round 11-0,11-0.

Today.. played doubles 1st round in the morning. Cp and I won 15-0,15-0. The 1st set I didn't even get to serve, Cp as the 1st server served 15 times. Lol.

Singles I wasn't sure who my opponent was.. some girl from Assunta. It was a Chinese name. Only when I entered the court I realised that it my was opponent from last year's Selangor Open! Last year she didn't use her Chinese name. I nearly spat all the water which I was drinking.

I won 1st set, 11-7. Lost 2nd and 3rd set, 2-11, 2-11.

Not very disappointed though.. she couldn't defend well, but with my shoulder like that I could hardly attack. When I did she made mistakes though.

It was a pretty frustrating game, since all I can do from the base is drop. I lobbed a few times, but without my arm swing, only wrist. All half court. Gave her chance to smash, though she hardly did. And smash.. out of question. Even at half court I didn't(couldn't?) smash hard.. honestly speaking my shoulder is way more important than winning any game.

Without my arm swing I'll never be good. I wonder when it'll be okay.. people say 3 months.. but as my coach said, ligaments are like rubber bands, once loose never tight again. I need to strengthen the muscle around it. Sigh.

People, appreciate your shoulder/arm! I figure my shoulders have always been weak, possibly since birth since the 1st time it ever came out was just caused by a mere push by a small-sized friend.

Anyway, now I'll try my best in doubles. But I won't play until my arm comes out, or feels like coming out(does sometimes.)

I guess it's a good thing I got a strong opponent early on.. God must be having a plan for me. Perhaps my shoulder would not be able to take more rounds, more games? Perhaps He wants me to play doubles more? Since my shoulder injury my singles game has really gone down the drain. He wants to prevent me from further injury?(Scraped my right knee slightly when 'diving' for a shot). IF I had managed to get into quarter finals, I would have met the top seed. If I did, maybe my shoulder would have been dislocated again, my ankle twisted(twisted it slightly yesterday) and countless of other injuries.

My problem is that I have a great tendency to injure myself.. because frankly I don't care much about my physical being. Lol. Then I remember.. my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Better take care of it well, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Anyway, good game, good experience, great fun, more fun to come tomorrow. We're playing against identical twins! Hehehe. I am a bit worried that they can confuse us as they're identical. .if one of them is good at receiving service, she may just change place with her sis to receive the shuttle! Lol.

Silly worry. Blog later!

God bless
