Today was the Postal Quiz..
As usual, I'm disturbed by some stuff. Get use to it, that's me.
People study soooo hard for this Postal Quiz. This is the time when Bibles are actually opened and studied, but only the 1st 15 chapters of Acts.
They memorise everything, then get high marks in it, then.. guess what?
The Bibles are kept aside, only to await next year's Postal Quiz. Oh sure, it's used during church, but besides that?
I'm kinda sad.. We study so hard for this, worry about it, start saying "Die die die" etc.
When the Postal Quiz is over, our Bibles kept aside, we rejoice when we do well.
We ought to start reading God's Word daily.. now when we study so hard for the Postal Quiz/Bible Knowledge quiz, the reason? Not many want to know God's word.. most people try so hard for their precious idiotic pride. When you do well, wow, everyone looks at you in awe, etc, and you feel proud.
No harm in that I suppose.
Why do we work so hard for worldly things(marks/grades, recognition by man, praise etc) instead of working for God?
