It's been an exhausting week...

Wrote one of the most honest emails I've ever written to a bunch of people whom I love and care about. The replies were surprisingly touching.

I guess I've refused to open myself up all this time whilst serving in PKV. Oh well, never too late, but when I'm back from NUS it'll be serving in a different way...

Anyway, I'll be going to Kuantan with Joash this Friday-Sun.. it'll be a good getaway for the both of us =) Think we both just need a break from life and a chance to really spend time with one another... looking forward to it!

I baked brownies with my besan (sis-in-law of Joash) today! Haha it was a fun time and also a lot of getting to know one another... I've realised that the perceptions we have of one another and those around us are perceptions of years ago.. when we were both teenagers, when she was unmarried, when Joash's brothers were just these older youth in church whom I never really got to know on a personal basis due to the age gap. That's one advantage of growing up! Haha. I now interact with my much older cousins and friends on an equal footing... it feels good.

One of my students fared poorly in her History paper... and her mom is panicking and calling me, worried that her daughter will slip into the depths of Fs when I leave for Singapore. -__-

If a sem in NUS doesn't set me too far behind in studies (can only transfer few credit hours), I wanna start teaching English Literature to SPM and STPMers next year. =D It'll be a huge commitment but it'll be worth it if it produces a deeper love for English Lit among Malaysians! I personally found it one of the most challenging and yet fulfilling subjects during my SPM and STPM years.

I do hope that my scholarship to study in NUS covers my necessities and leaves me enough pocket money to enjoy a bit... since I have to stop teaching tuition for the next few months..

If not enough I'll do my wifely duty and depend on Joash lah.

Haha! Should be enough...

The man has chased me to bed... =P

God bless,
Jo
