Mob Mentality

Just watched a video on the current situation in KL...

And I'm saddened by the utter disrespect the spectators displayed towards the police cars/buses.

I know that in humongous rallies such as these, the police are needed. Simply because of the dangers of mob mentality. Which you may google up if you have no freaking idea what that is. "Mob mentality". I have seen the mob mentality surface smaller scale, I cannot imagine the dangers of it in a crowd this big.

Especially when I know that a large number of people who head there have no such noble intentions like desiring clean and fair elections.

All of these policemen were probably forced out of bed and forced to remain sleep-deprived to control a rowdy crowd. Nearby my house are some police quarters, last Bersih I saw truck after truck of policemen leaving their apartments. Today that probably happened too. Poor guys. Hahaha.

I think it's fair to demand for these things. All races and religions are united in Bersih. But I hope nothing bad comes out of this.

May it be a peaceful rally, may there be no mob mentality violence, may everyone there return safely home when it is all over.

Am I asking for too much?

I'm exhausted. Nitez, ppl. Happy Bersih 3.0!
