:-)
Spent my past 3 days in UM, met my fun-loving juniors and pretty much awesome coursemates.
The first years threw a Christmas party yesterday and although we were served burnt food and basi kuih, we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! We attempted to sing carols from youtube but failed because we simply ain't great singers. But oh, the fun we derived from our pathetic attempts was fantastic. :)
I'm certainly glad to be home, although I wouldn't exchange my experience in NUS/Singapore for anything in the world. It was from there that I discovered who my true friends were back home (and really, I don't have that many friends, what an unfortunate but completely unshocking discovery!) but the ones I got closer to while I was AWAY from (talk about irony!) made it all worthwhile. :-) A couple more friends still owe me dates because I've been busy/they're busy with exams but it's ok, I've got time.
One of the most important lessons I've learnt from Singapore is that sometimes you'll just be a vapour that disappears from people's hearts when you thought you've invested plenty into them. Haha, yeah I like living in my own nice, comfy bubble sometimes. I used to think I was so involved in things before this that I actually made real friends. :-O Nevertheless, I truly appreciated those who were with me and supporting me with messages and calls throughout my months there. You are much appreciated! (Although you probably already know that by now!)
Got my Brand New Spanking Yellow SE 1.5 Myvi today (was willing to walk from home to the car shop, about 45 mins walk cause no transport but a sweet friend rescued me)!
My birthday is on it, 1201 (Joash's brilliant suggestion). ;-) So if you see a January 12th Yellow Myvi, it's... me! =P
Thanks to my dear mum who gave the down payment and my dear, loving BF who is paying off the monthly instalments. Yay!
Can't outrun Joash on his bike though :-( Pickup not powerful enough! (Or maybe I'm still treating it like a baby so I've not actually revved it properly yet..)
I spent my past few hours fooling around the car seats (collapsible and adjustable!), bluetooth, radio and GPS. hahaha. :) I think I should begin to domesticate myself and start taking an interest in boring things like cooking.

Will update you about my final few days in Singapore later, with photos!
Till then,
Jo
