Lecturer: What is the theme of this passage?
Me: The benefits of travelling...??
L: Ok... the benefits of travelling are what?
Me: er... the benefits of travelling are.... many??
L: What?? The benefits of travelling are MEN?? It's a bit too early in the day to think about MEN, isn't it??
(I actually CHECKED my watch when I heard that. 1.01pm.)
Me: *Completely befuddled face before realising what he heard* Noo.. MANY.
L: MEN???!
Me: MANYYY....
L: OH, MANY...
-_- This has got to be the worst mishearing I've ever encountered with a teacher/lecturer. Friends don't need to say la, most are too corrupted beyond hope. Haha.

Oh my I feel as if I've just made a trip to Thailand for 'benefits'.

Really, the benefits of travelling are men simply makes me sound like I go around looking for (male) prostitutes. LOL. :)
