Sore index finger on my left hand. No idea why, been very irritating for the past few days. Then just before training I cut my finger nails, third finger's finger nail on my right hand too short, just as irritating.
So I went for training with 2 injured fingers. Well, not really injured, just painful.
To start off my training.. jogging. Normally I'll just follow the fastest fellow if I feel like it.. so today I felt like it. Well, today was 15 rounds, not 10 minutes. So this fellow started zooming off. I just followed, thinking he'd tire out soon enough.. but nooo... with me on his heels it just spurred him on, I think I was irritating him that he couldn't shake me off or leave me behind. So I had a really exhausting run for the first time in many many months. *Sigh* Plus he supposedly ran 2 extra rounds. Sheesh.
Immediately after that had games. Supposed to play with nearly everyone for ranking, or some nonsense lah. I was still exhausted from the run, and then my coach asked me to play with the same guy who made me run like a mad dog. So.. yeah, I played. Thought no problem cause I've beaten him a few times before.. only think I found out is that I was still exhausted, and still needed to recover. So he won that game 14-21. No problem with that though. Games are games.. meant for fun. =)
After that played a few more games with others.. oki ler quite fun. Except for one thing.. all my opponents were so serious! All intent on beating me.. Lol. I would have prefered doubles, more laughing + talk. Today my opponents were basically out for my blood, no smiles and all. Forced me into that mood too. =(
But still had fun lah. Games are good for health. =D
After that had some running.. well, it was us big kids against some small kids. To make it short, the coaches just wanted us big kids to lose. After that did some mind-dizzying thingy(turning around) as 'punishment'. Right.. well, I did not intend to go first, I just wanted to see how many kids they killed before they decided to call it off. Well, not enough appararently.. I was about to get off scot-free cause 1 coach forgot that I hadn't done yet... but another coach had to open her large gap and said, "Joanne haven't done!"
So yeah.. I had to do.. I just had this gut feeling that they'd torture me extra you see.. cause of my erm.. not-so-quiet method of voicing my opinion over that whole turning thing. Hahaha.
Gave some crap about exam tomorrow, nope didn't work. Gave somemore crap about SPM. Nope, didn't work. Yeah, I'm on the losing end here.. they're coaches after all. Hahaha. Who cares? Make their life tougher and that's all that matters. Rather than going down meekly and following their not-so-bright ideas.
Well, after doing the turning thing we're supposed to walk and touch another shuttle.. just to see how dizzy we are I guess. Well, I went slowly, they can't force to go faster. I didn't count, just got up after a few circles and as usual my coach had had to count.. so I had to do somemore. Slowly, I add. I faked some dizziness when I saw another coach taking the shuttle from where it was supposed to be.. and when she was in front of me I made a move that was surprising for a supposedly giddified person. Well.. some previous victim had left sweat all over the court/tile right where I made my lunge.. and yeah. You can guess the rest. The usual cartoon character sliding over banana skin, except I slid over sweat. Flat on my back.
That was too much for me. I just started shaking.. with laughter. LOL! After my coaches rushed over and certified that I was alive without any broken bones, some silly fella decided to carry me for a bit.. by my arms and legs. Someone mentioned an ambulance..
So yeah.. I'm still alive, with an added injury. Not really an injury, just some pain on the right side of my waist. What do you expect, after sliding like that? Well, I suppose I'm just fortunate I didn't injure myself furter.
So much for thinking that my injury-prone days were over when I stopped that training. That was injuries obtained during training. This one is injuries obtained during playing. Lol.
Well anyway, I don't know if I'm going back Malacca next weekend.. so may have to skip training. Was actually hoping to see if I could train with my cousin in Malacca.. just for the fun of it. Will have to find out.
Pastor was sick yesterday and today.. praying for him. Compared to what he's facing, a couple of sore fingers and some pain on me are nothing.
Take care all,
Joanne
