Friday...

Most frustrating day.. I signed myself up to help the school clean up to clear the school of dengue areas lol!

But.. PBSM tomorrow. So I have to miss PBSM.

Today leadership course by Sunway College for all prefects, club presidents, and class monitors. Hehehe, was very fun. Didn't learn much though, what they taught was pretty much what we prefects have to learn.

Just came back from dinner. Went behind my house to eat.. after that my mum went to pay for something. My brother wanted to see the VCD while we were waiting for her.. There was a Malay man there. I thought to myself.. something's not very right here. Malays do NOT sell pirated VCD's. Only Chinese do. When we approached the stall, the Malay man waved his hand at us, asking us to go away. He and a few others were packing the VCDs.

Next thing, we saw an enforcement car speeding away. That Malay man was an enforcement officer! LOL.

Funny as this incident may seem, buying pirated VCDs, DVDs, etc is considered normal for Malaysians. Some of us may consider ourselves 'upright' citizens, but do you realise that buying pirated stuff is ILLEGAL? In EVERY country. It may even be considered an INTERNATIONAL crime!

"Wah, think I'm that rich ah?? Where can afford original wan..." That's what you'll say, right?

"Even if I can afford, pirated stuff so much cheaper, no need to jaga properly wan. Can throw away whenever I want."

But still, you're robbing someone when you buy pirated stuff. Imagine, you release a movie/album etc, and you earn only a quarter of what you SHOULD earn. Then you'll accuse someone of robbing you, am I right? Where did the 3/4 of the supposed-to-be-yours money go?

"Come on lah, these actors/singers are filthy rich! They won't feel a thing!"

So, now it's okay to rob the rich? I never agreed with Robin Hood, robbing the rich to help the poor. If the rich man cheated that money out of someone, it may be right to take it back(Today, we use legal procedures), but what if that rich fellow earned his money by his hard work? Is it okay to rob him?

So, we're no longer 'respectable' citizens when we rob others, right?

God bless
