So close to trouble!

Today in school my class's BM teacher didn't turn up. A relief teacher SHOULD have entered.. but none did. Vic and I went out to find the teacher.. while we were gone 3 guys started fooling around(They're called the 'black sheep' of 3 Cempaka). Their latest stunt to to grab a guy from behind and push that'victim' against a side of a desk(on the guy's *ahem*). That is painful enough, I can imagine. Today, they moved up a notch. One of these 3 guys grabbed 1 of them, pushed him against the table. The remaining 'black sheep' JUMPED on to them from 2 tables away!

OUCH! right?

The next thing, the whole desk collapsed. Just BAM!, no more standing on its 4 legs anymore. That of course attracted a teacher from another class.. she came in and started scolding I guess. That was when Vic and I entered to find the 3 guys on the floor with the teacher standing over them.

The teacher asked our assistant monitor to explain, and he did. Then she asked the prefects(3 of us) to stand up.. and kind of scolded us. I simply said that I wasn't in class, though honestly, even if I was those guys won't listen to me. They didn't listen to the other 2 prefects anyhow.

Then she sent those 3 guys to the Student Affairs teacher, and asked the 2 prefects who witness it and my class asst. monitor to follow them. She sent me to find the discipline teacher.

By the time I found him he already knew about it was was holding his cane. Those 3 guys got caned(if I heard correctly). Well, honestly they have been deserving it for a long time, it's about time they got caught. Received warning letters too.

If Vic and I had been in class, she(as monitor) and I(as prefect) might have been scolded and I might have been given a warning or something like that.. but then again that teacher didn't scold the other 2 prefects. Still.. we consider it a blessing in disguise. =D

Dinner time now, see ya!

Am I online THAT often??

Someone described me as online 'every morning, noon and night'. Am I online that often? As I see it, I'm online way less than the past two years. When I was in form 1 and 2, I was really online most of the time. But this year I cut down quite a lot.. I'm only online at nights. Mornings in school, afternoons have activities. Okay, so sometimes I use the internet late into the nights..

Think I better cut down my usage of internet more on weekdays, and use it more on weekends. But I don't even have much time to use the internet in weekends!

Let's see how things work out. With my life rotating around badminton & studies, things can get a bit hectic at times. Then again, I can do it! =D Never surrender, never admit defeat, never give up!

Theme for the year(Not fixed yet)? My Life, Not Yours. Try and lead your own life if you think you can handle it(mostly for teens).

So far taken 2 monthly tests in school. Don't expect to do too well in both, I didn't study too hard for both. Geography test today was a surprise though, teacher just wrote on the whiteboard yesterday without informing the class about the test. And the white board was filled with some other teacher's work, so we didn't notice it.

Although I was ill-prepared for the Geography test, I think I'll do better for it as compared to my Science test.

And I may be taking a Maths test this week. I expect to do really badly in it.. Maths isn't exactly my favourite subject you know.

Well, at least it seems that all my teachers this year won't scold if I get bad results. Well, maybe English, but English is simple.

Got some KH studying to do now.. test next week. Till later!

Suffering from badminton withdrawal.. haven't played badminton for exactly 26 hours. Arrgh! Nevermind, tomorrow after tuition =D

The area around the part where the needle penetrated my skin has become swollen. Whenever my sleeve touches that area feels irritated.

How to play badminton well tomorrow??

Nevermind, can't wait for it. Tuition 2-3.30pm tomorrow, badminton at 4pm =D

Although I can't find some of my BM tuition homework. Noooo! I looked all over.. hope it turns up, tuition is tomorrow! Can't go without it..

Never let fascination take over you!

Cp nearly got her leg rolled over today! We were walking around Megah badminton hall area when a car suddenly swerved around a corner. We stepped aside immediately, but Cp saw a few national players in that Waja(I think) and just paused! She was looking in the car.. I was looking at her leg! The car tyres were like, a couple of INCHES away from her feet!

And she didn't even notice! I was like, :-O And she was like, :-D-I saw Kien Kat! Man..

Oh well, at least her feet are fine. Lol!

Injection Today!

They didn't even inform us in advance about the injection.. I only knew when Cp's class was going, and she walked past my class and said, "Jo! Injection ah!" Hahaha. Those who heard panicked. Lol!

I wasn't afraid of the pain.. I was afraid of the after effects. I heard some people with allergy reaction turned blind when injected with this and that. The injection was nothing much lah, just a tiny bit painful when they push the fluid inside.

My uniform sleeve got a bit bloody. Lol!

In class many of us were sleepy and tired after that.. I said maybe that's one of the side effects of the tetanus jab. Lol! Seriously, even I myself was tired, and usually I'm pretty much up and going in class.

Theory Trial!

Sorry for not updating, actually wanted to post a lot of stuff but was too lazy to. =P

Today I sat for my theory trial exam in SK DJ(2).. okay ler, not too bad. Hopefully my teacher don't slaughter me for some of the mistakes though, that's why I don't like trials! I take it more seriously than the real exam because my teacher will know my mistakes.. Lol!

Find a 7-6 suspension resolving onto the tonic key? the only suspension I know is a suspension bridge for goodness sake! LOL.

A decorated Ic-V cadence in the subtonic key in first inversion? WHAT??

Poco a poco calenda or something like that. I put A little calm. Yes, I know, it's total crap. But I refuse to leave blanks in any exams. Once, I guessed a Italian term correctly in grade 3! =P

Man, I should know all these by now, but I don't!

Oh boy.. how can I face my teacher this Thursday...

Feel so irresponsible.. I have 3 camps again in 3 weekends in a row to attend again! CF camp March 16-19, Red Crescent First Aid Camp March 25-27, and Prefects' Camp April 1-3.

Why do I feel so irresponsible? Because I had to pull out of my church's Resurrection Sunday play.. I didn't know it was on the 27th March until the day before yesterday. What to do.. I should have asked for the date earlier...

Nevermind though, looking at the number of actors & actresses, I figure we need more audience than actors & actresses. Lol!

Went cycling today.. enjoyable =)

Tomorrow training! Yay. Hehehe. I just started group training last week, my coach quite nice ler. He's my.. 11th coach since I first started training I think. Lol. He's quite good, former chief coach of KLBA. Although CP and I are the eldest there.. okay lah. About 10 of us training only.

MSSD coming up!

Friday...

Most frustrating day.. I signed myself up to help the school clean up to clear the school of dengue areas lol!

But.. PBSM tomorrow. So I have to miss PBSM.

Today leadership course by Sunway College for all prefects, club presidents, and class monitors. Hehehe, was very fun. Didn't learn much though, what they taught was pretty much what we prefects have to learn.

Just came back from dinner. Went behind my house to eat.. after that my mum went to pay for something. My brother wanted to see the VCD while we were waiting for her.. There was a Malay man there. I thought to myself.. something's not very right here. Malays do NOT sell pirated VCD's. Only Chinese do. When we approached the stall, the Malay man waved his hand at us, asking us to go away. He and a few others were packing the VCDs.

Next thing, we saw an enforcement car speeding away. That Malay man was an enforcement officer! LOL.

Funny as this incident may seem, buying pirated VCDs, DVDs, etc is considered normal for Malaysians. Some of us may consider ourselves 'upright' citizens, but do you realise that buying pirated stuff is ILLEGAL? In EVERY country. It may even be considered an INTERNATIONAL crime!

"Wah, think I'm that rich ah?? Where can afford original wan..." That's what you'll say, right?

"Even if I can afford, pirated stuff so much cheaper, no need to jaga properly wan. Can throw away whenever I want."

But still, you're robbing someone when you buy pirated stuff. Imagine, you release a movie/album etc, and you earn only a quarter of what you SHOULD earn. Then you'll accuse someone of robbing you, am I right? Where did the 3/4 of the supposed-to-be-yours money go?

"Come on lah, these actors/singers are filthy rich! They won't feel a thing!"

So, now it's okay to rob the rich? I never agreed with Robin Hood, robbing the rich to help the poor. If the rich man cheated that money out of someone, it may be right to take it back(Today, we use legal procedures), but what if that rich fellow earned his money by his hard work? Is it okay to rob him?

So, we're no longer 'respectable' citizens when we rob others, right?

English Vs. American

Malaysians, wake up! Do you realise that we're speaking more and more American today instead of English? I strongly suggest that students in Malaysia don't speak/write American, do you realised that writing color instead of colour, apologize instead of apologise, center instead of centre, dialog instead of dialogue and many more will help us lose many marks in exams? Don't forget, we follow the English language in England and not America due to our country's history.

Okay.. so it may sound 'nicer' by replacing the 's' with a 'z', but it'll still get you less marks if the teacher is sharp enough to spot it. Memorize... Criticize... Analyze... Watch out!

Rubber? Why do we call it eraser nowadays? Again, it shows how Americanised we've become.

Did you receive an invite? Did you receive an invitation?(Gmail!) The first is American, the latter is English. The first one will get you a wrong in an exam.

But we can't help it I guess. Majority of the books we read are from America, shows that we watch too are from America.

This just a warning, after reading a few sites today on the difference. I was shocked.. I never realised I had been influenced so much. It's probably because I've read many American books(majority of my books were written by American authors), websites, and have met many Americans online and interacted with them.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean that you should start being anti-American. I'm just informing all students of Malaysia to be extra careful, especially when writing English essays.

Well, I'll have to try and prevent myself from 'Americanising' during exams, at least until I'm done with school.

Itchified!

Sorry, today may double or even triple post! =P

Cannot help it ler, I'm feeling very very itchified. Today, since school started. Hahahaha! Couldn't sit still during class... kept making stupid comments(not in front of the teacher of course =P). For the few hours of sleep I had last night(slept at 1am, couldn't sleep, slept too long in the afternoon), I sure had plenty of energy to spare today.

Hahaha! Even now I'm feeling plenty itchified =D

What's itchified? I don't know, since I heard the word "habukised/dustified" from youth group I've created a few more 'fied' words =P. Uglyfied! =D

Hahaha! Sorry.. can't help it. =D Itchified days aren't good, can't pay full attention during school. Yet at the same time I'll be energised =P and happy too! It's some sort of natural high =P Laughing at silly things.. who said you've got to be drunk to laugh at every stupid/silly thing? =D

Life...

How many of us know ourselves 100%? Or even 80-90%?

Many still search within themselves for the true them until death. Oh well.

Got a whole load of homework today. Can't understand why teachers love giving us homework on certain days, and on some days we're totally free. Spread it out a bit! Will be going off to do it after blogging. Badminton training at 5pm. =) Of course, none is due tomorrow.. but still I'd like to get over it.

Yesterday's Easter practice in church was hilarious! Lol!!!

Another day of school.. I like school, but sometimes it gets so.. rigid. Wish I can take a break from it sometimes. =(

Weekend over!

It's 11.21pm now. I'll be going to bed after blogging.

Tomorrow the start of another school week.. prefect duty, school work, homework. And, of course, badminton! But of course piano has to be part of this package. Oh well.

I want a job that will help me to help others who are troubled, a job that can help me to reshape lives, get close to these troubled people. The salary? I don't need a lot, enough to live can already. Of course, the more the better, I can contribute more to others with more money.

So far, the job that best fits this description so far is a teacher. A counsellor will never be able to help as much, counsellers only counsel people who KNOW they need help. Teachers will be able to help anyone, whether they know it or not.

But being a teacher.. I don't know if the decision is for certain yet. Some may say a doctor helps more, but for me a doctor only heals you physically. Besides that, a doctor can only help you when you have the cash. Sure, I can help patients for free. But if I were to do that, where will my income come from? Anyway, my heart is not into being a doctor. Being a teacher can be a ministry too. I'll consider going to rural areas to teach when and if I become a teacher. Of course, nowadays urban areas have many troubled kids.

11.35pm! I better get going. Will blog later!

HOME!

Woke up at 7.30am, changed into my school uniform and left at 8am. Don't know why I left so early also. Took the LRT and reached school at 8.25am. The people at Kelana Jaya still queue up! Wow I'm proud of Malaysia man! =D

When I reached school there were many form 1s around, all didn't know that there's no uniform society meeting today for Scouts, Red Crescent, and Girl Guides. Some bunch of f1 wannabe scouts asked me if got meeting.. as Vic told me a few days ago don't have, I just told them don't have. hahaha!

Did duty at 9am to 11am... talked to friends after that.. took LRT home at 11.20am. Reached home at 11.50am. Went online. Still online. =P Blog later!

Joanne Lim-Experiment 911

Hahaha! I felt like an experiment subject today! =P Why? Let me explain.

During Science period today, my teacher wanted to explain about the variables. My Science teacher likes to demonstrate stuff(how your heart works etc).

So, she asked me to help her with her 'experiment' today. Fine. Then what she said next made me widen my eyes. "When I hit your hand hard, you say ouch loudly, when I hit softly, you say ouch softly." Wow! Panicked man, I nearly felt like telling her to choose someone else! But then, I told myself it won't be that bad. It's an experiment afterall.

She told me to stand in front of the class, then hold out my palm. She hit it softly, so I said "ouch" softly, then a bit harder and the "ouch" was louder. Then what she did next stunned me. She whacked my hand harder than I thought she would! "PAM!" I was so stunned I just stared at her, forgetting to react! Hahahaha! Then she said, "Experiment went wrong," and "Nevermind, we'll do it again." And so she did! Well this time I was ready I just got ready to "OUCH!", and the last one was the hardest. Some students called out, "So teacher, can we beat her up?" Lol!

Hahahahahaahahaha! Funny lah. Especially when I didn't say anything because I was too... shocked. Lol! Oh well. All's well end's well.

Tomorrow prefect duty. =) Hope it doesn't rain cause I've to take the LRT to school.. and back. Hehehe.

No mood to blog...

Tomorrow piano. Today hardly any homework yet I wasn't happy.

Nevermind, just a few years more! =P Well.. it is quite long... 365 days x 3.

Oh well.

This Saturday I've got prefect duty for the annual PTA meeting... hope no PBSM meeting because I don't want to miss it, especially not the first meeting of the year! Of course.. I had to get the first shift from 9-11am.. couldn't even get the 2nd shift so that it'll be a win-win situation.

Then again, that's my life. I don't have much control over it. Live with it Jo!

Haven't blogged for quite a while..

I've a feeling I'm going to do one of my famous disappearing acts online. I use the internet when I know I can use it for a long time.. If I know I only have 30 minutes to use it, I won't use it at all. Unless I've got important stuff to do (projects etc.).

With school, the only time I'm really free to use the internet is at night. But I want to sleep early. So I won't use at all. Friday nights? Now, Red Crescent society starting already. If there's no RC meeting, than there'll be badminton club/team. Although I might have to skip some RC meetings because we'll be training for the upcoming MSSD.

So... I may stop blogging for a long time suddenly. Get used to it, that's me. =P

I had kind friends who helped me to sign up as I had to do duty. =) If any of you are reading this, THANKS! =)

After school had CF. After that did some homework in the library.

Well, my friends made a bigger deal out of my birthday than I! Lol. I was doing duty.. then suddenly the whole group came up behind me with a birthday cake. Lol! They put 1 big candle and 5 small candles making me 15 years old though =P After that had me to cut the cake.. I was really very surprised. I was doing duty.. then behind me people started singing. Don't tell me you won't be surprised! =P

Managed to finish all my homework in school today. After school took LRT to BBBS. Ate lunch there then went straight for tuition.

Tuition okay ler. Quite nice.

Just realised how much I changed since I entered secondary school. In primary school I was always known as quiet. Now in secondary school.. many friends would laugh their heads off when I tell them I used to be quiet. Lol.

End of my 1st week!

Today my 1st week of school ended with joy! =) Well, it didn't start so great, had Geography and the Program Maju Diri. The lectures were BORING. At least, for the counselling one. The discipline one was quite interesting.

After school had CF. Was great, 3rd time in 3 years I get to stay the whole time! No more afternoon duty as a prefect! Yay =) CP and Jan pushed me in front when they asked for January babies. Lol! Okay ler, they prayed for us after singing the birthday song. =)

After that had a study group with a few friends. Today didn't manage to study much, but we did learn that we have to PLAN about this study group, not just gather together and expect everything to work out. Seems they've been praying for this study group =) I think I'll just join them as much as possible, great to have friends working towards a common goal-straight A's. Took the LRT home. Think I'll be doing that all year. Hehehe.

Sadly, a few students lost their fathers the past few days and weeks. Even the teacher adviser. Sigh. Life ain't that easy. We've just got to get on with life. The pain will remain in your heart for a long time, if not forever.

4th day of School

Today everything went.. pretty much the same. Have the Program Maju Diri nonsense. Tomorrow plenty of talks (Discipline, MP, etc etc)

Today had piano class. Well.. last week's theory paper? I barely passed. 68%(passing mark is 66%) But.. as I see it I don't care anymore. Just care enough to pass theory. As for practical.. I'll have to see if I can pass it. If I don't I don't. Too bad.

After that had training. Was enjoyable =) After that we watch the court users play. Hahaha, 1 man hit the shuttle with his racquet between his legs. It flew straight to the lights. I mean, I'm used to seeing this already.. but still Cp and I couldn't help a 'Wah!' Hahaha! The lights are pretty high afterall.. and to hit with that much power with your racquet between your legs.. hahaha. Those men stared at us. =P

Gengga

Well, it's Gengga and not Genga. Somene said it's the name of a Hindu god, an ANGRY god. If that's true... then I have to agree that names play a very very important role in a human being. Hahaha!

Well, she came in and straight away started lecturing us. Scolding us.

Worse part is, during the Program Maju Diri she asked a question that no one answered(we didn't want to). Well, then she said, "I'm going to pinch one of you now." Guess what? She was right IN FRONT of me! Her hand started coming towards me.. man I jumped up and answered her stupid question!

I tell you.. ah nevermind. Lol.

I'm just glad she didn't lay a finger on me(VERY close though). If she did.. for the first time I'd hate a teacher.. getting dangerously close to disliking her already.

After school took the LRT to BBBS. Looks like I'll be doing that quite often now. Hahaha. Don't mind though, beats waiting for my mum after school(by the time she arrives I might as well take the LRT home).

School not that bad ler. Hehehe.

But I think I'm gonna get a nasty English teacher.. at least if I choose to listen to rumours. Which I will not. But her name is nice anyway, no matter how bad she may turn out to be. GENGA. hahahaah! nice leh =P

A bit boring. Hehehe. And distracting ler ground floor.

But the prefect board isn't that bad as everyone makes it out to be. In fact, in some areas not as strict compared to afternoon. Hahaha! In fact, quite nice ler the morning BOD.

School's starting this Monday...

Yesterday had Watch Night. Went to church at 10pm, came back at about 1.30am.

2 nights ago slept at 6am. Just couldn't sleep! Laid in bed for 4 hours... hahaha. Woke up at 12.30noon that day.. actually could have slept later.. but someone had to call my handphone and wake me up.. that someone too much... hahaha!

Today(or yesterday? it's 12.55am) I got a new digital watch! A Nike one, with plenty of features =) My parents consider it a birthday present =D. Really nice watch. hehehe.

Went cycling a while.. that black dog near the SK Taman Megah field was there... sheesh. Had to detour. Hahaha. Anyway too many dogs around today. Cycled for about 20 minutes only.

Badminton/3 Cempaka

Today I played badminton in Megah. Played a few doubles and singles. Cp and I beat 2 Catholic High players! =P Plus their side was a girl and guy, we were both girls =P. SMK Taman SEA Vs. SMK Katolik High! =P

When I played 1 against 2, I won! =P Against Cp and a schoolmate(MSSD bronze medallist for guys doubles). Well.. maybe they did give a few chances.. but I still won 15-5. Hehehe.

Went cycling after that.

Found out I'm in 3 Cempaka next year. Top classes next year will be Angsana, Bunga Raya, Cempaka, and Dahlia. Different from the previous 2 years(Angsana, Jasmin, Kemboja, Petunia). Cp's in 3 Angsana. Jess is in 3 Bunga Raya. And many others were split up.. sigh...

I didn't make as many close friends in 2 Jasmin as I made in 1 Kemboja. I don't understand why the school is splitting us up each year! Other schools maintain pretty much the same classes.. in SMK Taman SEA we get reshuffled every year! Sigh..

Tsunami!

The recent tsunami in Asia has taken 40 000 lives so far.. and still counting. A major shock as many of the places affected have never faced a tsunami in a very very very long while, including Malaysia. Thus, we're unprepared for such things.

Many of those who died were children.. really sad. To hear the stories of the distraught parents.. many are bound to feel guilty for something that isn't their fault. To lose their precious children, some barely began their life..

Too late to talk about what the goverment should have done. This would have happened anyway. Too late to turn back now.

Many of the people who died were tourists.. can you imagine dying on a holiday?

Many people are saying how fortunate they are not to have gone to Penang for holiday when it happened. Not just Penang, other places/countries too.

It was like a bait at the beaches. When the first wave brought in many fishes, all the people at the beach when to check it out. Some were excited, considered it a blessing.

Guess what? The next wave washed them all away. It was really like a bait, as I see it. Who put the bait out, I don't know.

Can't sign in MSN, ICQ, Yahoo!, AOL, Paltalk...

Why can't I sign in at all?? I tried unblocking the firewalls but it didn't work!

Sheesh.. is a hacker at work again.. my MSN messenger got hacked in once.. not possible for someone to hack in all 5 messengers.. right?

Anyway, today I lost. But I don't feel bad. You know why?

They put me against my same opponent that I lost to yesterday! We were like, 'Ah? You again?'. Well, he already has the advantage knowing that he beat me yesterday! I lost today with an even poorer score, 21-7. Sigh..

I feel like I played the worst game in 2 years of tournaments today. I made stupid mistakes, very very stupid mistakes. For the first time in a very very long time, I missed the shuttle when I swung my racquet! Once, when my opponent served. I really have NOT made such a mistake in a very long time! I didn't give my best today. Far from my best. Don't ask me why. I guess I was surprised and slightly upset that I'll be playing against the same opponent. Should have still tried my best.. but..

Then again, for the first time my family watched me play. Now I know why my cousin didn't allow her dad to watch her play in any tournaments. Hahaha!

The RSL T-shirt they gave is nice though. VERY nice. Hahaha.

Went cycling for a while, then had to go home, it started drizzling.

Tournament Today..

Today I took part in a tournament organised by Elite Badminton Academy and RSL. Supposed to be boy singles, but they allow girls to join too. It's a league.. I played U12, didn't really want to but then the coach talked like his doing us(Cp and I) a favour... so I just agreed. Cp played U13 instead of U15.

I lost 1 game, won 2. We played until 21 points. Lost 13-21, won 21-1, 21-2. 1st and 2nd top scorer of each group goes on. So I get to go on. Unfortunately, Cp lost. She got 2 w.os and lost 2 games. She gave a close fight for 1 of the games though, lost 15-21.

So I've got a game tomorrow at 3.20pm.. it's knock out already tomorrow.

I don't like the courts, there are 22 courts, no visible division (walls etc) between the courts. Very hard to judge the shuttle, you can see all the other courts behind your opponent, the lighting it bright, making it harder to see the white painted lines on the court. It was some Starplus Badminton Hall in Bukit Maluri.

Well, I don't know how far I can get tomorrow. But I'll just try my best.. =)

Music..

Well there's a bunch of people out there fooling around the gield at 12am with Satan Lucas(Go figure out what it means) caps.

Next item of research: Music. I'm going to search about worshipping God in the wrong atmosphere. I'm not into concerts and conferences and rallies(these things churches organise). Why? That'll be another long post. Wait till I'm ready to explain.

Well..

Woke up at 9am today. Wanted to wake up at 11am because I slept at 3am.. but too bad couldn't sleep after I woke up.

Went cycling after I woke up. Morning cycles are nice! Hehe. Should do it more often. Then played badminton with CP at 12noon. Later on a few guys asked us to play doubles with them. Was fun, they were friendly people. We won 3 games, but lost the 4th.

We left at 2pm.. saw a few CF members on the way out. Hehe.

Went to Giant to buy stuff... made 2 batches of jelly for tomorrow, then I went cycling.

Cycling is nice, relaxing. VERY relaxing. I'm getting more 'skillful' with my bicycle now =P. In what way I'll let you guess.

Badminton is fun, but you can't relax during a game. Whereas when you cycle you can just cycle around and enjoy the scenery. And if you're cycling fast enough it'll be very windy for you.

Research

Where in the Bible does God mention Christmas? Did Jesus say we are to celebrate His Birthday? Even so, December 25 was definitely NOT the day He was born. Do more research, and find out for yourself.

Results of my research on Christmas. Pastor was right. Check this out(If I had the patience to read them, so do you!):

http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/tree.htm

http://www.demonbuster.com/christmas.html

http://members.aol.com/libcfl/xmas.htm

Quoting from the site above:
If Jesus meant his followers to celebrate Christmas, he would have practiced it himself and enjoined it on his followers. There is no mention in the entire Bible that any of his followers ever celebrated Jesus' birthday like Christians do today.
Jeremiah 10:1-5

1Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

2Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

5They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

Well.. I'd leave the rest to you. Let Him speak to you. When He does I hope you don't mind sharing with me. =)

All I ask you is to think about it.

Well...

It's over. =D Worse than I thought though. I had to sit for a theory test! Took me 2 hours to complete. Neck ache. Almost fell asleep. Even my teacher noticed that. Lol!

So I went for a 3 hour lesson today! 3pm-6pm. Originally was supposed to be 3pm-4pm. Sigh.

Went cycling today. Went round and round Megah park again.. much more relaxing. Only managed to cycle for 30 minutes though, it started drizzling then.

Tomorrow badminton in Megah with CP at 12noon. =D

The Usual...

Today.. another typical day before my piano class. Depress.

How am I supposed to know why?? I can't get RID of this dark cloud! But I should be used to it by now, I've gone through it for years already. Doesn't make it easier. Haha I remember in school the past 2 years every Thursday(piano day) I never could enjoy myself. When school was going to be over(6.40pm) I got even more depressed(if that's the right word).

But I guess it pays off. Once done with piano class, I know I'm free from it for another 6 days! Can't wait to finish grade 8. Then the years of piano class can be put behind and forgotten.

Never was musically inclined, let alone good at the piano. Perhaps I don't mind playing a few silly but nice songs now and then. But not FORCED to do it.

Perhaps an instrument I like.. too late. I've gone too far into this piano trouble.

Why the sudden gloomy post? Because my holidays were ruined by this.. and I realised it. On school days I don't feel it so much, after all it just spoils a few hours in school. When you're at home.. trying to enjoy yourself..

You know how it feels right? Let me try and explain better...

Okay, it's something like you've got a major exam coming up. That kind of feeling. Only difference is, when the exam over, it's gone, done and you're relieved. With music, you've got to go through it again the next week!

Okay now I'm really sounding like a pessimist. What can I do?

My birthday's coming.. I really only want one thing. Which I won't get. Too bad.

Enough with self pity. I'm going to force myself to practice those pieces and maybe scales tomorrow morning. Then I'll get through it. And be free for another 6 days! =) Ah finally a smile I hope you'd say.

What can I say? It's my life. I don't have complete control over it.

Did I make the right decision by signing up for grade 6 piano exam next year? Probably an idiot you'd tell me. With my PMR too.

Nevermind. Badminton and cycling will always be around to calm me down. Badminton is no longer my hobby.. I guess you can say it's part of my life now. No badminton, no Joanne. This getting too serious about a sport people call useless right? According to people.. badminton brings you no where. Only the academically inclined get somewhere in this world.

Well, I guess thats what Romans 13:1 is for. It says, 1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Tha's all for my entry tonight. If I post tomorrow it'll probably be Dr. Jekyll and not Ms. Hyde.

I'm online!

Muahahahaha! What's the big deal about my being online you'll ask... =D Well, I told myself I'll finish my music theory homework before I go online. Took me from 9.15pm to 11pm. But hey, I did it! Incentive leh =)

And so I am online!!!

Today went cycling.. instead of going around the neighbourhood this time I just went round and round the Taman Megah playground.. no need to waste time thinking where to go and very relaxing. Plus no stray dogs to worry about. Seemed to have develope a phobia for them since so many have chased me. Cycled round and round for an hour. When I was heading home a dog came running towards me! I was too startled to do anything. Thank God it ran past my bicycle and didn't lay a paw (yes, a paw =P) on me!

School holidays... going to be over...

Do I sound happy? Delighted? If I do you must be CRAZY! I don't mind school much, it's just the thought of homework that makes me want to vomit! Arrgh I enjoyed my holidays way to well! Before I know it, it's 11 days(the weekend before school starts doesn't count) to school again! Somemore PMR.. haizz... have to go back to studying... harder than ever too, PMR...

And PMR is only the beginning! It's barely the start of the race! PTS was the gunshot signifying the start... UPSR was bad, but can't be as bad as PMR! And PMR can't be as bad as SPM! And SPM can't be as bad as STPM! Oh man..

Yeah, I know, I sound like Dr. Depress. Imagine if I was in some western country.. no such thing as goverment exams till later(if they even have it). I'm only 14 next year! When I was 4 years I started the rigid life of a school student.. Monday to Friday school, study before exams, avoid making teachers fussy..

Most kids start even earlier now! 3 years old, some barely 25 months old.. Sure, nursery can be fun, learning your ABC and 123 and playing. As I see it :

3/4 years : Life is still fun, except for the waking up early each day for nursery. Learning ABC and 123 can be fun too! When you cry your teacher comforts you, when you refuse to learn she coaxes you bit by bit.. you're still half a baby after all!

5 years : Life a bit less fun, more learning, no more playing during class though. Your teacher isn't so understanding about your lack of attention now. Scoldings increases.

6 years : You're currently in Preschool(Preparing you for the real schooling life). Teacher is even less understanding now! They begin to punish you for being naughty. They tell horror stories of punishments in primary school to naughty students.

7 years : You're finally in primary school! Your teacher punishes students who talk or walk when she's teaching. She's tough, tougher than your preschool teacher.

8/9 years : Teachers are even stricter. And you thought year 1 was bad?? At least they gave you chances, on the basis that you're not used to the real schooling life yet. At 9 years, students are pressured to try and pass their PTS (my year was the last year for PTS). Glad I passed it, save me an extra year of schooling life. Had to work hard that holiday and in year 5 though.

10/11 years : The REAL torture starts (for Malaysians). You've got to study for UPSR, the 1st major goverment exam you're facing. You wonder how you're gonna cope. Your parents start sending you for all kinds of tuition.

12 years : That's it! Your first major exam! You've got to sit for all kinds of trials set by the school. Teachers have no mercy, if you do badly in 1 of your papers you get it. So you work hard and pray for the best.

13 years : Finally! Form 1 in secondary school. After being the oldest in primary school you find yourself suddenly the youngest in secondary school. You're expected to respect your seniors. Life is very different you find, the cane is less frequently used. You're expected to be more responsible. Your hormones start to kick about, for most people. Never for me though.

14 years : Couples are no longer uncommon. You find yourself talking freely about this and that couple's relationship. (Not applicable for ALL though). PMR seems to come closer, too close for comfort.

15 years : UPSR was just over! NOT ANOTHER EXAM!!! you scream silently. PMR has finally arrived, looking at you with it's gruesome eyes. You thought UPSR was bad? Wait till you take a look at PMR. It's face is even worse.

16 years : Ah, 1 year of rest. But you find life in form 4 a bit of a struggle. You get sent for even more tuition. You thought PMR year was hard. But you've only got 2 years to prepare for SPM, and you've about 10 subjects to cram! And you CAN'T relax for SPM, it's YOUR life career at stake! *Who ever said PMR was bad?* you ask yourself.

17 years : Oh no... things have become serious. And you mean SERIOUS. Your career for life is practically depending on how you do for SPM. You start to think about your ambition. Lawyer? Doctor? Teacher? Engineer? Designer?

Well.. that's just my opinion. 18 years and above I can't say, some start working, some do form 6 (another source of stress, STPM!) and some do their A levels in college.

Dislocated my arm again!

Yesterday I went to Sunway Lagoon with CP and her sibling CX. And as my title says, I dislocated my arm again. For the 2nd time in 2 years! And well.. I pushed it back again. Think it came out only partially cause it slipped back after a while and relieved me of the pain. The last time it was numb, this time it was PAINFUL. CP called the lifeguard but by the time he came it was back in place.

How did it happen you may ask? Wish I could tell you I was on some fantastic roller coaster then somehow my arm got dislocated! The truth is far from that though.

Let the truth be revealed...

I got injured in a kids water playground(Kalahari Kids, some new thing)! Kalahari Kids my foot! More like Kalahari Killer! I was walking down the playground's stairs, the step I stepped on was slippery! Slipped down and landed and somehow injured my hand. Held it like a really injured fella cause if it COULDN'T swing around as it was out of place! If I didn't hold it.. it would be really painful and can't put it down anyway, it won't go down, already out of place at that angle.

After the last time I guess my left shoulder was already weak.. now it's even weaker! Have to miss badminton twice because of that. :((

Longman Essay

Well, I wasted my time writing the Longman essay. I wrote only 5 pages, and I'm told it's too long. What can I expect? I guess I should have known Malaysia's standard of English. And to imagine I was even thinking of writing few pages more to make it more interesting! Don't waste my time with 300 word essays man!

Okay enough of that. I went to school today without knowing that it's the last day of school! Hehe.. thought it was tomorrow. But it was a pleasant surprise to find out anyway. Had a prefect party today, great food. Except for one thing.. there were no forks and spoons! I took the fried rice before I realised that.. so I used my hand hehehe. Some of the others just took pizzas when they found out. Lol, no wonder so much left overs.

Had theory class this evening. For once it went well, the 2003 ABRSM theory paper is really simple. Found out I'm actually UNDERSTANDING what I've been learning all this while. Now.. if only the same applies to my exam pieces.. hehe.

Tomorrow training.. so long no training. Hope I haven't slacked off that much..

Long Time No Post!

Class party today! Got wet, touched worms, got sprayed at with some funny sort of spray. Overall? Great fun! Had to clean up after our mess but it was worth it. Hehe.

CP and I wanted to play badminton today.. but.. =( We couldn't open the hall gate! The keys just couldn't TURN the lock! Later coach (who was sick and couldn't train us) called up and said we should have called him when we couldn't open the gate. Oh well. I was at home by then. CP came to my house a while.. didn't have to time to play cards because her mum reached before we could even start! Yeah I know, we're slow hehehe.

Gonna stepped down as an Exco in 3 days time.. told my junior who's taking over my post (Ketua Bahagian Pengurusan Masa) what to do already.. I was absent on the day the Excos had a meeting on who to pick. Seemed too early to pick the Excos at that time. Their selection of the future Excos was a little bit weird.. I think some picked based on who they were close with.

Anyway, hope the best for the afternoon's board next year! Meanwhile.. form 2s are planning to resign.. already 15 left.. few more wanna leave.. some parents won't allow them to quit. I see no point on staying on just because their parents are forcing them.. but who am I to decide?

Exams..

Well, it's been AGES and AGES since I last updated my blog. After all my time recuperating.. I've one piece of advice for everyone.

DON'T STUDY SO HARD!!! Why? I don't usually study hard for exams... always managed to get all A's or at least nearly all. This exam? I began studying for Science 1 week earlier(Normally I only start 3 or 4 days earlier)! Guess what? I think I'm looking at a B..

And Maths? Okay, I have to admit I did prepare last minute for maths, including memorising all the formulas. Just when I thought I understoon everything... BANG! I get a huge bump on my head. I bombed the whole Maths exams. I'll be happy for just a borderline A. IF I even get an A.

Now? I've got a break starting from tomorrow and until next week, last 3 days of exam on the 11th-13th October. My plan for now? I don't know..

Today - Tournament!

Today is the 1st day of the Help Insititute tournament. I went to Taman Megah badminton hall to check the draw yesterday evening. It was out yet, one of my old coaches was still doing it. So I just asked him how many girls are joining... I was expecting maybe 4, 5 or some small number like that. He said.. TWENTY!! I was like, "HUH?! TWENTY GIRLS?? I thought only 2 girls!" Lol. But nevermind, if it's really true than I'll just try my best and try to survive. hehe. Not going to school today, since I need to be there by 2.30pm.

We lost..

But nevertheless it was a good effort made by all of us. It was a pretty close fight too, we played until the 5th game, the deciding match. We managed to go to the 3rd set, shows it was a close fight =). We lost to Blue house again, have to settle for silver again. But we did pretty well, and I'm proud of the teamwork shown by Yellow house.

Finally I can rest.. my life for the past few days has been really tiring. I reach school at 7am, take the lrt home and reach about 11am, then I leave for school at 11.50am. The worse part is the going home.. not that it's tiring, it takes so long to reach home! I'm like walking forever, and it's ages before I finally reach home! Then I bath, change, eat, and go to school. Can't wait for morning session school!

Registered for the tournament by Help Institute already. Only thing is.. not sure if I want to join it anymore.. so far CP and I are the only girls! Will be better if more girls join. I want the competition, I'm not looking for an easy win. Only competitions can tell you how much you've improved.

Anyway, now it's time for bed, nearly the end to my exhausting week.

Finally!!!

Just back from badminton competition. Glad to say that I've finally managed to play a perfect game! 11-0, 11-0. Hehehe. Yellow house won again! Now we just have to win Purple or Blue to enter the finals. Actually we won because the red house members were irresponsible.. 4 of them didn't come. Perhaps they didn't know? Or just didn't want to come? Who knows? Anyway last night I called and smses another Yellow house member to ask him to come today.. cuz he told someone he wasn't coming. No reply last night. But he came this morning! Hehe. Every player is important right? Even the reserves have to come! But I arranged it in such a way that everyone gets to play, people take turns being reserves. Good right? So if we win or get 2nd every member that gets a medal deserves it. =)

I reached school at 7am today because I didn't want to take the LRT in the morning.. in the mornings the LRT station is packed! Have to wait 1 or 2 turns to get on the LRT.. and I definitely didn't want to walk 40 minutes to school at 7 something in the morning! So.. I came at 7am when my mum sent me.

Anyway, hope we win our game against Blue house tomorrow, if we do it's a sure yes to finals. We'll definitely beat Purple house, but the Blue house is quite strong.

Inter-House Badminton

Today was the first day for the inter-house badminton competition. Some students who's names were down to play weren't allowed to play because they had already taken part in the recent inter-housr netball/handball competition. What a waste for the house. Good thing the Yellow House teacher didn't let those who had already played in the inter-house netball/handball play badminton, otherwise we would be disqualified.

Anyway, todya Yellow house played against Green House. We won! =) 3-1. I won my singles game 11-1, 11-0. I didn't warm up.. really stupid of me because I couldn't play properly then, it was harder to control the shuttle without warming up. After the same thing in MSSD I wonder why I didn't warm up today. Oh well, still won. It was a 5-10 minute match.

Wondering how to get rid of these slow starts.. in every game I play I'll never be able to score points at the start. Even in MSSD, the service changed sides about 7-10 times without anyone scoring. But when I get 1 or 2 points my score starts to creep up.

Prefect Installation, PBSM meeting

Yesterday was my school's prefect installation day. All I can say is, great performance and I can see that SMKTS prefect board really lives up to the moto "United We Prevail"! Really felt like a family.

At first Pn. Phua didn't let the afternoon session prefects go home.. but Mr. Allan phoned her and somehow we were allowed to go home. Those who were going home were asked to give me their names.. only 13 gave me their names. After that all but 2 form 1 prefects went to McDonald.. thank goodness for those 2 though. I didn't go because I wanted to attend CF and also because I was afraid that the students would skip school.. at least the 2 f1s were there for duty, 1 did front gate and the other did back gate. Otherwise all the students were walking freely in and out of school with the other few f2 prefects.

Well, 1 form 1 prefect came back for duty. the rest came back very late.. and many of them decided to go home! In the end En. Zaidi told us no need to do duty.. just patrol here and there a bit, too few of us mah. only.. 4 form 2s stayed back. Attended the CF recess meeting. The number really went down.. I remember from last year when I wasn't a probationer yet I used to go for the recess meetings.. used to be about 20-30 people. But.. when I went yesterday only about.. 10-15 people. But still.. =)

This morning went for PBSM meeting.. our second last one for the year.. =(. As it rained the number was exceptionally few.. but then again lately the meetings have been getting smaller and smaller. Anyway, we had fun at the meeting.. chasing and carrying seniors.. taking seniors' shoes.. haha! Learnt about the founder of Red Cross.. hehe I read about him last year already though.. liked his character =)

Went to Ikano after that.. then Youth. Youth was pretty funny.. hahahha! 3d tic-tac-toe! Learn several new things.. =)

Jess came over later.. to do an English project. Hahaha! Our presentation is very very very funny man! =P

Just realised..

I've just realised that I've been thinking of myself as a 14 year old... I've sometimes even said I'm 14 when people ask for my age. Skipping year 4 is no longer something that stays in mind.. I just consider myself the same level as the 14 year olds. Unexpected, but true. I look at the form 1s as my 'juniors' now. I treat the form 2s as my age group. Weird?

No jeans..

Well.. never found my jeans. What happened to it? My theory.. I put it in a blue plastic bag you see.. the kind the school uses to throw rubbish. Someone probably thought it was rubbish and threw it away.. I even went far enough to check the rumah sampah.. didn't find it. Oh well, at least I won't be so careless in the future again.

Got badminton tomorrow.. will Yellow House prevail? =) Have to see how the 2 form 1s play.. hope they can hit the shuttle. Just being able to make CONTACT with the shuttle and passing the net will make me jump over the moon!

Anyway.. gtg now.. 2 essays to write.

Hmm.. last time blogging for today.. went to SS2 for dinner.. saw the poodle sooo cute! Hehehe.
Yesterday was my brother's prize giving day.. =) He got 5 medals, out of 7 subjects. Not bad eh? But my friends told me that I shouldn't go since it clashed with a bit of the PBSM stuff.. perhaps it's not important to them? They say sibling mah.. not that I'm receiving also.. wonder what kind of siblings they are hahaha! After that went straight to school to help out in PBSM stuff. hehe!
OI!!! HOW CAN????!!!! HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN TO ME??? I just realised 2 hours ago that I left my RC shirt and jeans in school!!! In a plastic bag!! ARRGH! That jeans cost RM120!!! I can only hope it's still there... :-((

PBSM Installation-Am I a fool?

Well, last night was the PBSM installation. Was I a fool? An idiot? Just plain stupid? for the 2nd year in the row, I missed watching everything there... why? Cause last year I was forced to do security.. not enough people last year for my place to do shift. This year? I did security AGAIN! This year I volunteered though. Why? Because I pitied the security guy.. so kesian couldn't get anyone to do the canteen.. so I volunteered, and CP came along with me. Difference between last year and this year? Last year MANY more members came.. this year so few only. But what I don't understand is.. why weren't we off duty until it was over? People doing the front gate were off duty like, 2 hours before us.

We too had some sort of 'shift'.. between the QM room and the front entrance of the canteen. Basically, you can't see anything from the QM room.. just a bit more than the canteen entrance. We did duty from 6.30pm until about.. 10.45pm. Like the other guy doing security, he said why do WE have to do duty?? Front gate maybe, and other places maybe. BUT WHY THE CANTEEN?? NO ONE WAS THERE! Oh well.. anyway CP, another guy and I helped to clean up the canteen seeing we had nothing to do and the head of security said we couldn't go off duty.. we mopped, picked up the rubbish etc etc. Why? Partly because if we didn't do it, the maid will have to do it all on her own. And also because I felt we being stupid enough already might as well be more stupid and clean up while people were enjoying themselves in the field. We stopped cleaning up when the canteen was in a considerably better condition than before. Got rid of the rubbish everywhere and mopped all the muddy patches up. Imagine if the maid had to do it on her own.. she didn't have to do anything anyway.. hehe.

After that.. everyone was talking about how fantastic this and that dance was.. sheesh. Looks like only 3 of us did duty the whole time.. anyway, CP and I slept over. Out of 44 people who signed up to sleep over, only 31 remained. We slept at 2am.. I tried to sleep earlier but CP and KY wanted to talk.. and the light was on so I couldn't sleep anyway. We finally slept at 2am.. woke up once at 4.23am. Hehehe.

I woke up at 6.25am.. before my alarm rang. Used the toilet, cleaned myself up. Whistle blew at 6.45am.. we were briefed about today's events then rested for a while.. after that carried chairs and tables from everywhere to everywhere. My hands still feel funny.. but carrying chairs and tables are pretty much okay, sweat quite a bit but still.. Hehe for staying overnight we got the booklet.. hahaha!

Anyway, I actually told myself not to do security again this year.. somehow that wasn't meant to be. But still pretty nice, got to know new friends.

Conclusion? I'm BRAINLESS. But although others in my shoes would not have enjoyed themselves.. somehow I don't regret this installation at all. Sure, it was a lot of hard work today, and yesterday was pure torture watching everything from the canteen.. but somehow I learnt many new things. Perhaps pitying the security head and the canteen maid was the one that made this 'good' feeling?? Who knows?

Conflict!

A lot of things clashing lately! Today in the morning PBSM meeting, then went for an orphanage visit to Shalom House in Puchong. They kids were very cute hehe. Went to CP's house after that. After that had to decide.. Youth at 2.30... or badminton club at 4pm? Well anyway didn't have to decide, parents went to fetch my brother from his essay competition in Sunway and they reached home only at 3.30pm.. so went for badminton club lor.

Beat the teacher advisor 5-3! Hahaha I think it's just a mere coincidence but still.. hehe. Guess the individual coaching is helping after all.

Wanted to go for the Scouts campfire.. but because of the Science project that my teacher suddenly made the dateline earlier.. arrgh!

PBSM installation coming edi.. on that day can't go earlier to help out.. cause my brother's prize giving day. Have to tell them though. I want to sleep over that night! =P

Prefects installation also coming.. 24th July.

Brother won a prize in an essay competition today.. top 6.. Oxford & Cambridge one somemore.. only form 4 among the form 5s. Hahaha.

Finished the Science project.. Jess and Florence came over.. Huey-Ee got scouts campfire mah.

Yesterday before school an accident happened.. a motorbike banged a teacher's car and the impact was so great that he flew out of his bike and hit the car's windscreen. Broke his leg I believe. How many more accidents like these before something is done? This isn't the first time.. the part for the teachers to enter school is quite dangerous..

Long time no update..

Well, the work seems to be piling up. Science project, KH project, homework, on top of that piano.. Bunny went back to the Rabbit Farm to clear up its lump.. hopefully it's okay. My Art and KH looks like some kind of kindergarten work.. Hahaha.

Badminton training canceled today.. cuz coach too tired. Yesterday went to school in the morning for badminton house practice.. the hall couldn't be used. Interhouse games supposed to be this week, but since the hall can't be used due to a quiz, it'll be postponed to mid-August. IF I can rely on CPLee.. =P

Grandfather went to hospital for a few days.. Monday afternoon came out =)Science project SUDDENLY due next week.. after it's supposed to be due on the 20th of July. Then suddenly the teacher makes it 12th of July.. =(

Rabbits!

Bought 2 new rabbits a few days ago in Subang Parade. One is a Jersey Wooly, the other one is a Dwarf rabbit. Very cute.. except for one thing. The Dwarf rabbit has an abscess on it.. one big lump on the side of it.. that was the day we bought it.. then yesterday I found another lump just below the mouth.. sigh. I don't care much about trading it for another rabbit.. I just wonder what the fate of this rabbit will be.. cure? death? It's a pretty intelligent rabbit too.. and a determined one. We seperated it from the Jersey Wooly and put it in a box.. that night it kept jumping and jumping but didn't managed to get out. At about 12am, I switched off the computer and suddenly saw the little rascal running around the bookshelves! Shows how determination pays off! =P So I put it in the cage.. put the Jersey Wooly in the box.. it didn't try and come out until today.. hehe. So I'm going to cover the top with some cardboard and close the room door just incase it's going to run around again. =)

We named the Dwarf rabbit Bunny and the Jersey Wooly Kitty! =) Looks like cat alright from behind(the Jersey Wooly). Whatever it is.. I'm going to look everywhere to read all about abscess.. perhaps even a cure? Who knows? I'll put up the pictures of the rabbits..

Will be bringing the rabbit to Subang Parade to get it checked by the person who sold us the rabbit.. hopefully something can be done.

Sports Day!

Not been able to post an entry for a long time already, sorry busy mah. So far what happened in my life is the Help Institute Badminton Clinic, a few projects, a quiz tomorrow, and Sports Day which was today.

Helped Yellow house to distribute the food and drinks out.. after that did prefect duty.. don't know why the students want to go out earlier.. either you come and stay whole time or DON'T come at all! Then have to tell the parents to sign in the office to bring their child out.. I'm sure many parents were angry at us prefects for causing them that kind of trouble.

Hang Lekir(Yellow) got 1st!!! =P Good right... I didn't contribute much besides getting 2nd last in shot putt though.. hahaha! But good ler, we got 1st. =)Blue house got 2nd.. 3rd Green house, 4th Purple house, 5th Red house.

PBSM got 2nd for marching.. KRS first. KRS won 2 years already.. aizz.. But PBSM had a lot of new form 2 marchers ler.. They'll be more experienced by next year already. And I think the major thing about why PBSM got 2nd is because a couple of them could not hear the commander's command to salute. So a few people were late in saluting, and some did NOT salute. I say that would have caused precious points. KRS on the other hand did very well, although the formation was very confusing they did it really well. PBSM's formation was not so confusing, and much simpler compared to KRS. Anyway, 2nd place is good already.. I see no point for them to be sad, especially the form 2s.

After that went for CF.. =) Suddenly decided to go when I saw the notice on the CF board lor.. managed to drag CPLee to follow me.. hehehe.

Today quite a few members in CF.. but I enjoyed it, as it's one of those really really rare times where I get to stay in for the whole time and not have to leave earlier for duty. Can't wait for morning session school..

After CF CP and I faster walk to CP's house.. haha cause it looked like it was going to rain.. and neither of us had any sort of protection from rain.. hehe nearly reached her house then it started drizzling a bit.. but then stop lah. =) After that mum fetched me from her house.. and here I am lor. Hehe.

Gonna buy a rabbit!

Appeared in Star Metro newspaper! =P For the Help Institute thing ler. Maybe will scan it and put it on my photo page.. but my eyes were shut in the pic =P.

No time

Didn't have much time to go online lately. 2 days ago, I took home the NIE project to REDO the entire thing from scratch. Printed EVERYTHING out, as in the articles and photos. Slept at 3am that night, woke up at 7am to continue. Work on it almost 11 hours, if I count it correctly. Nearly slept in my transporter's car on the way home from school.

Then had to do homework(music, school) and some prefect report.. slept at 2am that night. Woke up at 7am for badminton training. Mr. Ong decided we were not 'tough' enough, so he's decided to train us with VERY tiring routines with a SQUASH racquet! Felt like vomiting at one point man.. but these stuff will make us tough lah =). Hehehe next time don't east jelly for breakfast, suspect that was what made me nearly puke. =P

Another exhausting day.. had piano at night.. I didn't practice 1 song at all, but when play my teacher so good! Technical excercise good mer.. but then the next page harder I could hardly play it.. haahaha! My teacher must be thinking what a weird girl I am.. =P

Today.. For the first time in like forever, I could get up at EIGHT am! had to wake up at 7am for many days already! Suddenly can wake up at 8am today like very nice.. hehe!

Found out about Help Institute Badminton Clinic today.. will be going tomorrow, very last minute I know =P.

Oh yeah.. thanks to my NIE group for the Winnie The Pooh cup! =P They gave me for my so called 'hard' work on the newspaper.. Hehehe! Jess said she wanted to buy a Winnie the Pooh bolster actually.. but then she don't know how to pass to me in school! Hahaha! Then after that say she looked for Winnie The Pooh Shuttlecock.. but cannot find! HAAHAHAH! Laugh until want to die when I think of it! hahahahah! Thanks guys once again! =)

School..

Yesterday had less homework than usual. Malay essay and a couple of maths sums. Then why did I do finish my homework at 12am last night? Because we had to do NIE project.. Jess, Vic and Kye Ling came over to my house. KL skipped her tuition just to come! Aizz.. anyway, didn't manage to finish, KL went home at 10.30pm, and Jess and Vic left around 11.20pm. And still didn't manage to finish! It's due on Wednesday.. if our newspaper isn't picked to represent our class then all our effort wasted.. haizz.

After that did some prefect stuff. Slept at about 1.30am. Woke up at 7am to send Jessica some of the NIE work, and to play piano. 8.15 CP's mum came to fetch me for badminton.

Badminton so painful on the arm today man! =P Use squash racquet swing until.. :-O Hehehe. But good ler, can feel my arm stronger already =P. Good thing we're doing individual lessons the time and day very flexible, any day any time also can train wan. So we're training on Thursday.. good thing also ler, scared if we train tomorrow our hands cannot swing =P. Aching mah! But doubt it will ache..

Oh yeah.. I got 2nd in class! Hahaha! My best achievement since year 3. =P That was like, 3 years ago.. hahaha! Somemore I studied in front of Thomas Cup.. all last minute studying too :-P.

Today..

Today just pkayed badminton at SK Taman SEA with CP in the morning at 8 something.. hehe nice ler we used the squash racquet, practiced some strokes with it. I managed to beat CP using a squash racquet while she was using a badminton racquet! Hahahaha! 11-3 man =P

Went home.. bath.. ate... guess what? I slept 4 hours after that.. hahaha! =P Then went cycling, decided to use 1st gear, like cartoon cycling only! Hahaha pedal soooo fast but like getting no where only haha! Spent 45 minutes and only managed to cycle 1/4 the distance I usually cycle.. =P Lol! Interesting though.. =)

Went to Giant, bought a ProAce squash racquet at RM49.90 for badminton training. Hehe. No, I DID NOT accidently buy a squash racquet for badminton! Lol, just needed it for wrist work, and I'm hoping it'll improve some strokes of mine. Now I know where all my pocket money go.. on badminton stuff.. grips, strings, shuttles, and now this racquet. Shuttle cost me the most ler.. nearly every month need to buy, and that is if it's not holiday.. if holiday 1 session can finish up half or the entire tube.

Somemore I'm always the one providing shuttles.. others don't want to. Can't blame them though, it's expensive to keep buying RM39.90 shuttles for kids like us. But then again, I don't spend my money on anything but badminton! =) I guess if you're really fanatic about something you won't mind spending anything on it.. Afterall getting up at 7am for badminton after sleeping at 2am is really crazy.. but worth it! =P

Went cycling today..

Just back from training

Haizz.. CP asked coach to make training at 8am today.. She likes to torture both coach and I alike ler.. make us wake up so super early.. I wake up ay 7am.. she wake up at 7.30am.. somemore come late.. I wasted 30 minutes of sleep! Hmmph!

Anyway we did routine work today, lobbing and lifting. Happy to say I think I've finally got the lifting part right, thought I had it right before, but was never taught so specifically until how to grip the racquet. Good thing coach taught us how to grip forehand grip, cause I wanted to ask him anyway, totally forgot how to grip for the forehand lift. Hehehe.

Nearly got bitten by dumb dog..

Today went to Pizza Hut with 9 other friends for Newspaper In Education(NIE) project. Some English stuff lah. We spent RM101.20 on 3 pizzas! 2 large and 1 regular pizza. Hehehe. And some other stuff lah. You can take a look at the pictures in the photo page.

Decided last minute to play badminton. So CP, Wern Ming and I decided to play at 5-6pm. Unfortunately Wern Ming and I had a miscommunication.. he went to SK Taman SEA court to play.. CP and I went to Taman Megah badminton hall.. hahahaha! Called him at 5.15pm, found out he was at the wrong court. =P So he didn't come lor, come also so short time already.

After that CP managed to convince me to follow her to a new mamak stall.. to try some ice-blended drink. Was quite okay, quite cheap too, RM3. But it was sooo far away from home.. reached home at 7.10pm.

After that went cycling.. went around my neighbourhood, went downhill to the Sungai Kayu Arang.. near the Rose Apartment there.. then suddenly one big black dog started chasing me. I've been chased by 2 dogs at once before when I was cycling, but those 2 had short legs. Now.. this black dog was BIG.. it could actually KEEP up with my bike! And I was going uphill too.. a man was shouting WOI!!! at the dog.. but doubt it was his dog, no collar must have been a stray. A lady carrying her baby quickly went back home too.. At least the dog stopped chasing me, in my panic I managed to cycle away in record time. Hehehe :-)

Badminton Training...

I slept rather late last night.. and had to wake up this early this morning for badminton training. I was afraid I would be too tired to stand the training but hey, it turned out okay. =) We did cross-court smash, cross-net, and net as a routine. It was pretty tiring but you must push on to improve right? After that he asked us if we wanted to play badminton this afternoon.. of course CP and I said yes! =P At 3 something he called to say he had sore eyes and couldn't come, but we could still go there and play. Fine with us. =) We went at 4.30pm and met Wern Ming there. Played until about 6.20pm. After that we went home.. and I went cycling around. Suprisingly after all the badminton sessions today I still had a lot of energy, more than usual in fact. I cycled up uphill very fast, which is quite unusual. Usually I just pedal uphill slowly, but today I had extra energy and just ZOOOM! Hahaha, okay maybe not THAT fast.

At the court when we went some kids entered with us. We were sure they weren't supposed to, went to Mr. Ong's house to ask him about it but no one came out of the house. Anyway those kids went off after a while. That's all for today..

Sunway Lagoon!

Today went to Sunway Lagoon with CP, her younger sis and Amelia. We enjoyed ourselves man! Went to every single ride of theirs, all but 1 that is. We didn't want to go on the Ferry Wheel.

In the dry park we went on that Man Eater's Snake or something like that(the snake one, with splashes here and there) 5 times, CP and her sis 6 times! =P We went on the Gallion(however you spell it, the moving ship ah..)about 4 times, went on the Lost City of Gold roller coaster twice, the Buffalo roller coaster once, the Boots once, the Tomahawk(you know, the swinging pendulum like shape thing that goes upside down =P) once, the tea cup once(was quite giddy after this tea cup), Colorado splash(2 people in a tube, slide down from a high slide), and the Rapid Waters (Sit in a huge tube/whatever it's called, then go along in some water pathway and get water splashed on you at certain parts of the journey).

The Tomahawk was fantastic, going upside down. Amelia was practically SCREAMING her head off! Until I asked her to stop "Oh my god"ing! Not that it stopped her from screaming.. =P

The Man Eater's Snake was also great, going up a really pitch black cave and suddenly diving down at the end of it! Then smooth journey for a while.. then we were 'pulled' up a steep slope to prepare for a really big splash =P. The going up was the worse! So slow but so steep.. so slippery I kept sliding backwards against the person behind me! Then.. the big splash! Hahaha =P

The Lost City of Gold roller coaster was nice, but too short and not as thrilling and exciting as Time Square's Roller coaster. Only part I like was when the ride was so rough and bumpy we were held on only by our safety belts, having sort of 'jumped' up for a moment. Hehehe.

The Gallion was pretty okay, but after sitting the Tomahawk it wasn't as thrilling anymore, but I still enjoyed it. =P

The Buffalo roller coaster was really nothing... meant for babies I guess. Just really bumpy, was afraid I was gonna be full of bruises today hehehe.

Boots was just some sort of round thing that went round and round and up and down quite fast. Was okay, but makes you quite giddy.

Tea cup? Made me VERY giddy! Cuz it was just after riding the Tomahawk.. was so giddy man! Couldn't really enjoy it, I had the impression that the Tea cup was for babies! But it sure goes very fast in circles for babies.. hahaha.

Colorado splash.. went twice. Was quite nice, but not exciting enough. Too short, hardly wet, but still quite okay lah.

The Rapids was quite nice, went 3 times I think. Got very wet but we all enjoyed it. =P

In the Wet Park there wasn't much, just a wave pool with waves sometimes, and 2 slides with tubes.

In the wave pool. When the waves start, I think it's timed, maybe every 15 minutes or so we really enjoyed ourselves. Nice mah, get big waves to splash at you. The bunch of jokers I went with chased and chased me around until they caught me and pushed me underwater. Thanks a lot you guys! %-)

The slides were quite interesting. 2 in a tube, we went down a slide, the 1st one was a short one but quite painful on the butt! Hahaha! Amelia told me to keep my butt of and not touch the slide, I only listened to her advice halfway. Nearly at the end I relaxed.. without realising that there were hard rubber mats at the end of the slide to stop us! Ouch! =P

The 2nd slide was quite okay too. Just went down until you reach a pool, Amelia sat in front of me and when she reach the end she 'popped' off the tube! I was laughing until I couldn't get out of my tube! =P

After the Dry park we went to Wet park, then we went back to dry park after bathing and changing to dry clothes. There's this exhibition of fossils there, we went in and saw a huge dinasour, the something-saurus, forgot how to spell already. Hehehe it was making noise and growling and we were like, walking extra slow TOWARDS it.. then we decided to turn back =P. After that we got brave and went again, I think it has censors in it's eyes, a red laser light because it moves it's eye around, then it started MAKING the noice again once it sort of spotted us. We were amazed man.. hehehe. I said imagine if the head was faulty and dropped off in the midst of a roar.. total chaos man. Hehehe.

Overall? Tomahawk was the most thrilling.. but still not good enough. No ride there seem too scary, all were too short in fact. Oh well, had a great time. Went cycling after bathing when I came home.

Back from Malacca

Today just back from Malacca.. had a good time there but slightly boring lah. Ate sate celup with relatives last night. I broke a record.. I ate 9 sticks! Lol I don't really like sate celup you see so eating 9 sticks was considered very good in MY opinion. After that went to an uncle's house.. outside in his garage was FULL of study books going to be RECYLCED! Brand NEW! The son is a salesman, give all these naskah contoh books away, the extras he recycle. 2 relatives of mine who are teachers took plenty of books, my brother took a lot of form 4/5 books too, and I took a few form 2 books. What a waste... recycling brand new books. Oh well, at least I managed to get a few books before it got recycled. =P

Reached PJ at 2 something this afternoon.. there's a Malay wedding going on down the road. Can hear the music from here.. Hahaha!

Probates' Results!

Well I'm sure there were a great many happy and sad faces today after the results were announced.. 22 passed.. The way the afternoon session excos crossed out the names of those who passed.. I don't really agree with that... What's the use of the interview then?? Before this I was thinking that we judge too much on the interview.. after yesterday's meeting I'm thinking the total opposite.. like it or not I have to say this : We afternoon prefects are still young, still kind of immature.. How can we be expected to decide who passes/fails just like that? Based on feelings? No way..

Oh well, what's done is done.

I just HAVE to say this today.. I DETEST hypocrites! Some people.. just relax, playing a fool etc etc and suddenly sees a teacher/senior. Immediately acts like she is doing her job.. Guess that's how crooked people get so far into the world.. I'll just stick to my own ways.. maybe more trouble but it's still right. I've gotta buck up though.. don't feel like I've been doing my duty as a prefect too well lately.. partly due to friends who try to talk to me during duty.. But I've told them already.. so that's one step towards being a better person.. I think.

Got drenched today.. had to run from class to class, until block C and I still didn't manage to find a SINGLE exco when En. Zaidi wanted me to call them all for a meeting! En. Zaidi asked them to cancel spotcheck too.. So when I found them had to call off the spotcheck.. good thing only 1 group had started on 1 class.. Not exactly something to put me in a fantastic mood.. I was totally WET! Oh well.. that's life.

God bless
Joanne Lim
Webmaster@joannetmj.tk
It's kind of hard to explain to your friends WHY you're a prefect.. I realise this everytime my friends ask me... not because I don't know the answer, but because they will never understand. From my friends' point of view, they see prefects as power hungry people, useless, corrupted, and so on. Not all of them, but most of them. Why? Because people tend to look at the flaws of people, and not the good side of them. A prefect may have a few weaknesses, so what? He/she is only human! Who is perfect but God? They expect us prefects to be PERFECT, when we are not, they condemn us. When we confiscate their illegal stuff they HATE us. What do we do then? When we do it their way, they'll say we're useless, bias, and whatever else word you can find. When we are doing it the RIGHT way, they HATE us. Either way we're always wrong, aren't we? So what do we do now? I'll never figure out why people hate prefects.. but don't hate teachers..

Oh well, that's life.

I got 2nd in Shot Putt... 2nd last that is!=P

Just back from shot putt/lontar peluru in school... took the lrt to school and back home. My best throw was only 4.4m... =P Hahaha! What to do? My name was put down when I barely know how to throw the shot putt! Hahahahaha!

Anyway, on the way home, I heard a cow mooing... nearby my house, one of the houses. Wanted to check it out but saw 2 stray dogs.. big ones, mind you. Of course I did the smartest thing... I walked back home FAST. =) Interesting though.. heard a cow mooing... in a place like PJ? In a HOUSE? What kind of sane person keeps a cow in their house??

This cow was the one that made me think there was a man in my house.. was coming out of my room one morning when I heard "moo.." I was shocked.. a MAN in my house in the MORNING?! Making such noises?! But when I went downstairs I found nobody. Later found out it was a cow... but never figure out where it stays.

Anyway, today's shot putt showed me that I'm not a thrower.. Badminton still is the best =)

Erm..?

Yesterday saw a few students gathering around one girl who was playing with a handphone.. I was coming down the stairs behind them and I saw it before they saw me. I told En. Zaidi, the discipline teacher, he came down with his rotan and started asking around, don't know what happened next cause I left the rest to him. Why can't these students play with handphones at home?! Why in school?! Because they think it's 'cool'?! Come on... breaking school rules is not a 'cool','fun','brave' and whatever else people may consider it to be!

Nothing much today.. managed to get all A's for my exam, at least I HOPE teacher gives me the A for Malay paper.. just ONE more mark.. =) Anyway, English I should be getting an A, it's the last subject left.

And I actually got an A for my PJK!! =P Borderline 76%, one more wrong and I get a B. Not bad for a subject that I didn't study for... hehehe =P Erm.. what else?

Ate in Mosin for dinner.. not too nice... the roti canai was too dry lah. Oh well, what to do? =P

Today walked to school with CP.. ate lunch in Tea Time before that.. was quite nice walking to school today, windy and not too hot. Erm.. not exactly walk to school lah, walk to Kelana Jaya LRT station from my house, then reached Taman Bahagia and walked to school. We discovered that walking to the school back gate from the station is faster than walking to the front gate. At least one new discovery today =P Then came home, went cycling..

That's all..

Phone Call from Help Institute College!

Just remembered about the phone call from Help Institute college that happened a while ago... I was in school, then someone called. Asked for a Miss Joanne Lim. Conversation went like this:

HI Fella : Hello, may I speak to Miss Joanne Lim please?
My dad : I'm sorry, she's not at home know. May I know who is calling?
HI Fella : I'm from Help Institute. I'm calling about the A levels
which she enquired about.
My dad : What?! My daughter is only in Form 2!
HI Fella : Oh really?? Sorry sorry!

Bodoh right? I? A levels? Hahahaha! Must be the badminton tournament I played in last year organised by Help Institute. Their way to get students I guess... Hahaha.

Today this nearly gave me a heart attack. 1 stupid classmate of mine sat at the top of the erm... balcony of block C, the corner class. sat there legs up tying his shoe lace. We all ask him come down lah (duh!) then he said, "Erm okay". He put one of his legs down on the OTHER side of the balcony! Wah those watching just stunned. Just stared. FREE! Badminton!

I'm free...! At least until the teachers start teaching again... which could be very soon... sheesh who burst my bubble?? :'( Oh well, free as in no need to study so hard already :-D You won't know how to appreciate life until you've gone through 3 weeks of exams... just this time I feel soooo relieved after exams, most likely because I got deprived of badminton, didn't get to watch the circus, and a lot of last minute studying. *Note to self: Next time start studying earlier; less last minute studying.

Yesterday I went cycling around my neighbourhood... was going down the slope(the yuk chai at one end and river at the other end slope) without braking. Cycled pass a few erm... 'junctions'? Anyway, I didn't brake at any of them... suddenly 1 car came out of no where from one of it, good thing it stopped and didn't horn =P I brake sampai my bicycle also keep moving without the wheels moving, shows how fast and dangerous I was going. Hehehe. Oh well, at least I didn't get hit right?

Now time for badminton, blog more later!

God bless

Went for an Above18 movie in BU!

Wah yesterday night my cousin (adult already) came to my house and ask my brother and I if we wanted to watch a movie called Van Helsin, some sort of vampire show in Bandar Utama at 12am(yes, am MIDNIGHT). So... we said why not? Then we went lor... Walked around BU, so silent when all the shops are closed. My cousin stayed with her friends, my bro and I walked around the now silent BU. Saw a few couples (why date in BU at midnight??) and we went back to meet up with my cousin and her friends at 11.45pm.

Suddenly one of her friends gasp. She forgot that it was an 18PL show!!! Sure enough, we checked the ticket and that confirmed it. For my bro it's okay, he's 16 should be able to pass for an 18 year old. For me?? A 13 year old??! Transforming to an 18 year old??! :-O They started strategising, saying they'll surround my bro and I, one person give the tickets and we all walk in. But I was so worried... I mean if it was in the afternoon I don't mind, can walk around BU if we're caught. At midnight? With all the shops closed? When the crowd has gone in for the movie? The thought was... you get the idea.

Anyway, we managed to get in, my bro saying look down! But I hate looking down... so kept looking around, anywhere but the man collecting the ticket. Was sooo relieved when we got it! The show was enjoyable, nothing can be as scary as the getting in part =P The show was over at 2.20am

And we as normal people look very out of place compared to those... weird ones. Lol! Now we know who comes out at 12am. =P
